About Watershed Councils
www.oregonwatersheds.org

The 90+ Watershed Councils of Oregon are local, community-based stakeholder organizations that work primarily with private landowners on a voluntary basis to implement watershed protection, restoration, education and conservation projects. As a group, they are one of the primary delivery systems for The Oregon Plan for Salmon and Watersheds and The Oregon Conservation Strategy; programs in which Oregon invests tens of millions of dollars annually, most in the form of individual projects implemented by watershed councils.  Councils strive to achieve triple bottom line outcomes: environmental, economic and community health.
